We're going on a longer trip from mid/end May-mid/end June.. and need to board our 2 cats!
Every place I call wants roughly 550-600 Dollars for the two of them for approx. 34 days.
Does anyone know of a place where they wouldn't just sit in a tiny cage for a month that's anywhere from Lampasas to Harker Heights?
They need to be together, we've had them since they were 4.5 weeks old. They are indoor by night/outdoor by day, but would be fine inside for a month.
Any suggestions welcome!!!

i would board them if i didnt have dogs. the only place i have boarded my dogs is Pawderosa Ranch in San Antonio, but now that's too far for me to go, and havent gone anywhere so i havent need any boarding (yet), but luckily i have made some good friends who will watch my pups if i ever go somewhere.
have you tried any catsitters (private)? call your veterinarian!

For that length of time, it would be healthier for the cats to stay at home and have a pet sitter come feed them every day. Some of them include watering the plants. In addition, it means there is someone checking on the house every day.

I've always used a dependable teenager from my church, but there are professional sitters that offer these services. It's much cheaper for me to use a pet sitter then pay the $40/day/pet to board my two darlings. The cats won't be stressed being in an unfamiliar environment for so long and you know the house is being watched while you're gone.
