Have you seen Lake Ray Hubbard? That lake is massive! White Rock Lake is fed by White Rock Creek (that's why it's small) but Lake Ray Hubbard is fed by the Trinity River. There's a 2.9 mile causeway on the lake (Interstate 30)
The lake takes up 35.5 sq mi. Here's a picture

This is an aerial view of the Interstate 30 causeway crossing the lake

you Dallas people just think that because you have something Nice, the other cities don't have them too
HAHA. um no. I'm gonna go ahead and make an assumption here but I will assume you haven't played Dallas National. I have played Dallas National, and played the course in the Woodlands with a good friend who lives down there. Let me tell you there is no comparison between the two for someone who is an avid golfer. The woodlands simply DOES NOT match up with Dallas national.

This is not even me defending my city, it is simply coming from an experienced golfer's POV. Any avid golfer will tell you there is no comparison

Most in the golfing world know Golf Digest's list that has been published since 1966 is the TRUE standard for the nation's top courses. Since its inception in the early 2000s, Dallas national has been the only one of that list in Texas (#59 I believe)

America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses/2011-12, ranking: Golf Digest

This is something I cannot argue enough. There is simply no comparison to this course in Texas. I would say the same thing if this course was smack in the middle of El Paso. The pictures honestly cannot convey the beauty of it.

Sorry for the hostility I get a little worked up over my golf sometimes. But people can't say lies like this for the sake of their city

That first pic was nice.

The thing that still needs to be understood is that Dallas has more of a hilly terrain than Houston. For me, that's one of the things that makes it nicer.

whats to understand? dude, Everyone here has been to Dallas. We know it has more hills and they are alive with the sound of music.

we don't need to hear it ten times to understand that. We have seen it.

You have expressed your tastes (and you know what I think about it) already.

Anything new to add?

Sorry here for my hostility! I'm not old and I love golf. Playing, yes, watching, not so much. Different tastes for everyone I suppose

And why would you be watching the X factor with NBC's shows on tonight? Community, Parks and Rec, the Office...who needs Simon Cowell!
