What is the police like in north Dallas, because every time I go, I rarely see them. I mean, I know they are there but every time I drive in the north Dallas suburbs, there is a sense of freedom to it. (Not to say that I break the laws, it just feels good driving in Texas than it does in Oklahoma).

You can relax some, but don't go more than nine over on the freeways and tollways.

Now, regarding Texas license plates in Oklahoma, how much of them do you think it makes up with Oklahoma tourism?? Anyone venture a guess??

Well over 50% easy. No, I don't really know but I can guarantee you that it is plenty. There is not a day that goes by that I do not see a vehicle with a Texas license plate. I sometimes wonder if Texas has purchased land in Oklahoma. I'm being serious. It is epidemic levels. I have nothing against it, I am just shocked as I have said before.

I always simply referred to Oklahoma as "far north Texas." Not sure why ya'll think you're another state

There are a lot of people that classify Oklahoma as "far north Texas" and it is quite scary. To me, Oklahoma does not seem anything like "north Texas" (with the exception of the multitude of vehicles with Texas license plates blanketing the state and that's about it.)

Well, you know, Oklahoma is just "Texas-lite."

You really think so? I am starting to think this myself.

It really makes me wonder if Texans prefer Oklahoma because they feel they will have a better quality of life. I know that there are a number of reasons for vehicles with Texas license plates to be in Oklahoma but when I see so many of them every single day, a number of questions come to mind. Nonetheless, it motivates me to stay focused for my two years at school and at my job, and to hit Texas after I walk across that stage with my cap and gown to receive my degree. Much respect to the Texans that I see in Oklahoma and hope you enjoy it.

Must be the DFW population loss I've been hearing about. Some want to go back to their hometown in Oklahoma.
