Hey all, I'm living down in Fort Worth Texas now, and I was just wondering where are some real fun locations to go for memorial day weekend? The girlfriend is coming down to visit, and we would like to go to a real fun spot probably including a beach, lake, river, etc.. and a good amount of night life... Any suggestions, and also places to stay? Thanks for any advice!

Do many people head to Galveston for memorial weekend? Is it a fun beach town, with some good beaches and nightlife?

Smile galveston Memorial day weekend

yes, i have been there many times. Galveston's beaches are full of people on Memorial day weekend. East beach used to have bands and all the bars are full.
The streets are jammed and parking is hard to find because tens of thousands of people line the beach and soak in the sun while having fun in the water.
