Please post whatever pictures and descriptions of Toledo neighborhoods that you would like! Good areas to live/areas to avoid, neighborhoods that incoming college students should check out, best areas for young professionals, best places to raise a family/schools, and nightlife are all some suggestions. Basically just want a big, go to thread for people moving to the area, curious about Toledo, or looking to explore a part of the city that they have never seen.

I started a Wikipedia article on the neighborhoods of Toledo: Neighborhoods in Toledo, Ohio - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have been amazed that there is so little available on the neighborhoods of Toledo since so many of the neighborhoods are loaded with irreplaceable historic marvels that would sell for millions in pretty much any place but Toledo. I have tried to make a career in real estate by trying to fill a nitch for marketing and selling these historic neighborhoods and have been met with limited success.

I have also written Wikipedia articles on some of the neighborhoods I find more interesting (and have pictures posted many of my own photography on them)... I have added a few photos...

I agree. I am a huge fan of Italianate (Victorian) architecture and Vistula has more of this architecture than anywhere else in the city. It does suffer from a big PR and blight issue, but I for one am excited about the future of the neighborhood.

Wow, you covered pretty much ALL of downtown Toledo! Great job....and your pictures brought back so many memories of growing up near there. Going into "the city" was a big treat on Saturdays. My mom, grandma, and I would get dressed up, go shopping and have lunch downtown, then go back home to Waterville. I felt so important! LOL

Ryan, I really enjoyed looking at your pics too! You really bring out the charm of the old downtown area.

It would be cool if UT could put some of those empty buildings downtown to use and draw students downtown.

If you go to Akron (a city that has transformed itself by leaps and bounds), they are doing the same thing at the University of Akron.
