I've seen a tornadic wall cloud, and a funnel that never touched down, but not an actual tornado (knock on wood)! That's as close to seeing a tornado as I hope I ever get!

Yes, seen several, largest was EF5 that hit Limon CO. And yes, I was hit by a F1 maybe F2 once while driving in CO. Was in a rain storm so didn't see it coming. What a ride!

Back when I was 6 years old....
First grade- look out the window at school....
I had a terrible feeling of dread suddenly-
The sky was a horrifying mix.....
It went from being a normal bright afternoon to instantly dark green, then to black.....
The winds were insane, I could hear it....
We (the few kids still at school) were
under the desks....
I knew even then that'd do
nothing to protect us.
That was the super outbreak of 74
I've seen a few other since then-
I think I'm hyper aware of tornadoes.....
