There are some high-rises at Yonge-Eglinton and there are some nice schools in area like Allenby and Northern for HS.

Much will depend on where you work.
Commutes can be hell if you don't consider this.
Where will your job be? Without this info people will just throw out random neighborhoods that they like but they may not be suitable for you.

Default narrowing down on schools

I am doing the same research and I have discovered a secondary school in Richmond Hill called Bayview Sec Sch which is rated 9.4 / 10 + offers the IB. It seems one of the best public secondary schools. It has a number of feeder primary schools of which Crosby Heights and Richmond Rose are rated highly. Richmond Hill is York School Board, not Toronto
Not too far away, in Toronto school board is Harrison Primary and Cedarvale Primary both of which are the first schools to offer IB at primary level. Arlington Middle School also offers and is in same area. I can't find an IB secondary school in Toronto that is also highly rated - still looking.
IB is a big advantage for university entrance.
Let me know what you discover.

Depends where you live. IMO if you have the money go to North York or the former city of Toronto.

Vaughan Road Academy is in the same area as Cedarvale and Arlington and it also offers the IB program.

Thanks, yes I saw Vaughn Road Academy has IB but surprisingly it has a fairly low rating in the Fraser Report - like 5-6. There are others in Toronto school ooard that offer IB but none rated very highly. So it is about weighing the importance of the rating against other factors.
