How are Thorncliffe and Flemingdon Park areas? (apartments, condos)

Hey guys, I received a 16 month internship near these 2 areas and I am planning on moving there with my mom and my dad from Brampton. Could anyone tell me a little bit about these areas in terms of how safe they are? How the transit, and community is? I am viewing apartments on Thorncliffe park drive, if anyone has lived/knows anyone who lives in any of these condos, could you tell me the apartment along this street are fine in terms of maintainence and cleanliness? Thanks!

Check out houses or apartments East York which is safe and clean. I've heard about bad bug infestations at Thorncliffe and Flemingdon Park (in the newspapers recently).

Those areas are not my cup of tea....I'd pick somewhere further out like the above poster mentioned. Take a drive over and look around, it's not that far.

FP is a lot like the area to the south and west of BCC, but denser. Not much for kids or night life. Lots of bussing.

FP and Thorncliffe are not the greatest of areas, lots of drug dealers and so on.
