How do you know? Do you have knowledge of the maintenance cost of every registered American vehicle?

Wow the ignorance in here is amazing. You can dislike Lexus all you like but they completely changed how cars were built and how customers were treated. All consumers are better off b/c of the brand.

Lexus is usually in the top 3 in every survey in every year. That is consistency no one else can match.

Is a Cadillac a Chevy? So knock off the crap. Lexus makes vehicles that are on par with the best and it shows year in year out.

The LFA is amazing!

What I find so funny about this statement is the username of the person making it.

What is your excuse?

No, they are both GM vehicles. However, on every Lexus made you can pop the hood/open the driver's door and look at the VIN plate/door sticker and it will say manufactured by Toyota. You will not see "Manufactured by Chevrolet" under the hood of any Cadillac. So while a flame bait comment, his statement is quite true. Several Lexus vehicles are sold as Toyota branded cars in other parts of the world, and they all were up until a few years ago when the Lexus brand was introduced in Japan.

Funny, the only fanbois I see here are domestic fanbois who are dumping on what is absolutely one of the best-made marques you can buy.

Waah, it's a Toyota! Blah blah blah.

A good example of why J.D. Power is worthless.

I will never tout J.D. Power's rankings, no matter what they say about brands I tend to prefer.

Does it really matter? Cadillac is a very old brand, and perhaps when it was launched many decades ago it was structured as a wholly owned corporation. Lexus is probably treated legally as a brand, reflected by the VIN.

Lexus is a premium brand manufactured by Toyota. The LS, the GS, the IS, and the LF-A are not based on any Toyota models sold (at least in the US).

That's because "Chevrolet" is a separate brand from "Cadillac".

They will both say "manufactured by GM".
