Try looking harder. Hint: you can find a link to the brand "Lexus" which is made by Toyota on the toyota.com website. Shocking.

Since when is having a V8 powered car a benchmark for being a great car company?
The Celica was always an econobox. The change to FWD certainly didn't help it's case as a sporty econobox any though. The FRS wasn't ever a hopped up econobox so it makes sense not to apply the Celica name. The whoring of the Celica certainly doesn't help the case for invoking the name.

That's not a Toyota. Never argue with a Toyota fanboy. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

You also probably believe Buick makes a RWD supercharged V8 sedan.

Toyotas are boring. There's nothing exciting about the V8 rwd sedans they make. Buick is made by Chevrolet. Cadillac is made by Chevrolet. Chevrolet makes a supercharged RWD v8 sedan, coupe, and wagon.

Cadillac is not made by Chevrolet.

I don't own a Lexus or Toyota but I'd take an LF-A or a IS-F over just about any Chevy.

They do. The Toyota Crown is available with a V8. It is not sold in the US.

Toyota of China-Toyota Crown

Toyota Global-Toyota Crown

Strike Chevrolet and replaced with GM. Other than possibly a ZR-1, nothing GM makes really comes close to the LF-A. I'd take any iteration of the CTS-V or Corvette over the IS-F.

yes, actually they are. they were sold as Toyotas in japan ane elswher until very recently, when the Lexus brand was introduced worldwide. But, cars like teh Toyota Risto ad Toyota Altezza are still Toyotas first and Lexuses later. The Toyota Soarer was rebadged as the Lexus SC. The Toyota Altezza is the Lexus IS. These are not simple models made by a seprate division but literal rebadges that are Toyotas everywhere else in the world.

Most Lexus fans will argue you to the end of time that a Lexus is not a Toyota, but something different and better. Unless it suits them to say so, which in this case I guess it does. The relationship between Buick and Cadillac is not analagous to Toyota and Lexus and Scion.

Please - I've owned an IS-F and comparing it to a Cadillac CTS V is pathetic - the fit and finish and ride quality of the CTS is embarrassing - sorry I'm not a fan of cheap plastic. Not to mention that after leasing my ISF and because of a career move I needed to sell it - I was able to sell it privately for my exact payoff. Try doing that a a CTSv and you'll be upside down over 10k.
