My GPS already controls the car in the sense if want to make some changes I have to come to a full stop somewhere - with this new GPS I guess if I want to stop in a bad neighbor car will not stop!!

This really sounds like a dumb idea to me - why would someone make anything like this?

To protect people not knowing the area. If I were going into a strange city and looking for a reat stop or something it might be useful!

I think the rest stops would be the best usage for this GPS...

i dont dislike the idea, i just think it would be difficult to really do right. sometimes a bad area is only a few blocks, so im not sure how they have the data to just make sure you dont travel within that few block radius. im thinking in terms of crime data, thats probably reported by zip code. but the same zip code can have good and bad areas.

And sometimes the difference in the good and bad areas in the same zip code can be EXTREME.
