Love the Matrix hoping to keep it as long as I can. On 3 hoping to go another 6 or 8. I am bummed that they discontinued it. Haven't found any news. Only remote Hatchback is one their Prius lineups, but it's not AWD.

Yeah there was the Venza too which you could get AWD with their nice V6 but they discontinued that this year as well. It's a shame, just sending those customers off to Subaru.

Just keep driving it and enjoy it! We have a lot of people on the GenVibe - Community for Pontiac Vibe Enthusiasts - Index page website with 200K, 300K and even a few with 400K miles on their Vibes and Matrixes, and they are still running strong. Lots of people, myself included, are on our second or third Vibe or Matrix. Once my current 03 Vibe GT with 224K miles is passed to my sons, I'll probably buy me a 2009- 2010 Vibe GT or even a Matrix XRS if I can find a manual transmission version.

One thing about the AWD is keep looking at the rear end parts for any leaks. I know the older models had issues with the seals leaking, and then the AWD differential could fail if the fluid gets too low. Make sure it is inspected and serviced so it will keep running for a long time.

I was hoping the Scion iM would take the place of the Matrix, but no luck on an AWD version and I need more than 137 hp!

Pontiac Vibe and Element best vehicles that were on the market. Love you can camp in your car. I am refinancing my 13 Matrix in May so going to get the back bumper fixed, new wheels, and a tune up (Might do the last on my own ha).

Mazda makes a decent hatchback, but I can't afford that yet maybe after school ha.

Really hoping for a AWD hydrogen fuel cell vehicle with roof rack, with rear/front/driver seats that can fold down, and can wash the inside of the car. 8-)

I suspect you will see some very small CUV's in the not too distant future which would be closer to what the Matrix was, since the market is heavily shifting towards small CUV's. Toyota won't ignore this exploding segment too long.

Off the top of my head, you can get a manual WRX, Impreza and Crosstrek and the Crosstrek and Impreza hatch are a similar type as the Matrix\Vibe.

Beachmouse answered your question before I saw it.

If you are asking because you've heard negative comments about the CVT, then I would urge you to reserve judgment until you personally test drive one.

I think you will find such comments to be mostly exaggerated.
