Hi,

My Corolla Altis petrol engine "Dual VVTI engine" is roaring with noise on driving above 100 kmph. The sound disappears while I shift it to neutral.
I changed the Engine Mounts, Clutch and Gear Mount, but still the noise continues.

Changed over 3 mechanics, but the case remains the same.

Lot of air flow sound on the rear right side seat. Feeling depressed now.

Drove the car for 63000 kms.
Please help!

- Karthik

Last I checked people from outside the U.S. were allowed on this site. That said, I'm not sure why OP would actually use it to ask a question specific to an Indian-market vehicle since he's unlikely to find many responders here.

You are driving over 65mph so yeah your engine will probably be noisy. What year is it and have you driven another of the same year to compare?

Thank you trlhiker,

I am holding Corolla Atlis 1.8G model of the year 2008 and I drove a similar model, but my car is really noisy.

The ears get blocked while driving.

Sure, you can jump through government bureaucracy hoops and pay double what the car is worth to import one to the U.S. but why in G-d's arse would you do that for a Corolla?

Sort of. Some of the engines are different.
