I just bought a 2010 Prius with 120K miles on it for $8000. According to the USAA car buying service, i paid $2000 below market value. So market value does seem to be taking a hit!

That's a fair deal. I'm looking for one for my daughter. Prices seem to be a bit higher than NADA and such in my area.

I just got done riding in a 2005 Prius Taxi Cab in Seattle. It had 989,700 miles on it. Yes, just short of a million. I asked the driver how many engines and batteries it had been through. He's been driving it since it was new and said it has had 1 rebuilt engine at 600k miles and is still on the original battery. He said he hadn't noticed much of a change in mileage and that the current engine still ran like new. Pretty amazing.
