Thanks for everyone perspective. I don't think I am worried about the resale value because I plan on keeping for as long as I can lol. As long as they are good cars I am good. I will figure out what I want to do in a month or so. I may wait until the end of the year to hopefully get a good deal on one.

They hold their value better than BMW or Audi, but still have lousy resale in general compared to many other vehicles. I think it's mostly due to poor fuel economy. Still isn't stopping me from buying one though.

For reference, I sold my 4unner two years after I bought it for $500 MORE than I paid.

Brand new AWD fully loaded you are looking at low 60s. My first one was 65k and this one was 63k.

Depending on how far back you got but normally the 14+ (new body style) is still in the mid to high 40s.

I drive the '15 F-Sport. I get so many compliments and people just randomly start convos with me at a gas station. I catch people glancing at my car all the time while driving on the road.

It drives excellent, is very smooth, and the performance is great. I take it to the twisty roads sometimes and it handles them very well. Fuel economy is ok, depending on how you drive it. It's a car that exudes elegance and sportiness at the same time. And of course w/ the Lexus badge you're getting very good reliability.

2 well-documented cons about the car are the occasional rattles and the squeaky/groaning brake noise. And the seats don't fold down.

I agree about the seats not folding down. That's annoying! However, I haven't had any issues with mine regarding the rattles/brake noises. I did take it to the dealer Wednesday as it sounded like my driver door speaker was blown. It was just a master switch that was rattling and they said that's common. No issues since.
