I have a 2009 Lexus IS250. It has 115k Miles.

When idling or sometimes at very low speeds, I hear a bit of an engine knock. I've done some reading and allegedly it's a trait of this model, but should I be concerned?

Of course I need to get it to be looked at but I'm exceptionally busy and haven't had the time yet.

Thank you.

Thank you.
Did you recently change the oil? The canister that holds the oil filter has a spring in it that pushes the filter up to when installing. On one occasion I tapped the filter out against a garbage can and the spring and clip fell out of the cannister. I didn't notice and finished the oil change. Later I noticed (on and off) a slight engine knock. The improperly installed filter was reducing the oil flow to the engine. I had to get a new cannister and put a new filter on. Didn't do any damage. My is250 awd has about 170k on it. There is also (I don't exactly know the term) a vvti, variable valve timing solenoid that gave me a few hiccups. Don't ask me about changing the alternator! That is a son of a gun, thankfully there is a "sticky" on the Lexus forum for it.
