Maybe get a Mach E. It's ostensibly a Mustang, seems about as practical as a Camry, and hopefully the fewer moving parts that an EV has means it's fairly reliable.

If you want sporty, reliable, relatively inexpensive, and available now, get a Miata. It somehow also has good fuel economy. Miata Is Always The Answer, right?

Remember 5 Camrys! I just find them drab. You can change their color, put pieces of plastic on them but its still a Camry. Im not saying they are not reliable.
Then by all means! Mustangs are great cars. It’ll serve you well. Just don’t expect it to be bulletproof like a Camry. Probably a non-issue if you get it new and just keep it for a few years.

I’d like to have a crack at a new one myself. Newest one was a ‘73 LOL, though I drove a...2010? Last year of the 4.6. It was quite nice and has only gotten better since then. Chirping into 3rd gear was delightful.

Not a Mustang, no matter what Ford says.

I could definitely understand a Mustang. 2018-2019 (and presumably 2020) model years have had considerably better reliability than earlier models.

No comparison. Two different lifestyles.

Hence, ostensibly.

If you want sporty, not too expensive, and reliable, then you're looking at a Miata.

Question, honestly.. Is Ford Mustang anywhere as good as Camry in reference to reliability??
I mean, in sheer numbers, nothing really beats a Camry in reliability. There's really no reason why a Mustang would be unreliable, it will just require a little bit more diligent maintenance to keep it running smoothly (routine oil changes and the like). A GT Convertible with the six speed manual is the one to get if you want a convertible.

Actually, Ford is the one and only authority that defines what a Mustang is. Ford has actually labeled it as a Mustang, and as a result, it is a Mustang.
