No surprise that the RAV4 easily beat out the Honda CRV given its superior performance and fuel economy. It'll be interesting to see if the new Ford Escape can dethrone the king.
it's no secret why toyota sells more RAV4's than any other small CUV. the RAV4 hybrid is a "hybrid" of two segments toyota invented. the hybrid and the crossover. rack another win up for the champs.
I’m looking to replace my Honda Element with a similar type SUV that will accommodate my bikes and be good for weekend outdoor recreational trips and my research guided by cargo size, horsepower and reliability has led me to the RAV4.
Once there and then looking for an AWD one, I’ve discovered that the Hybrid is about the same exact price as a conventional RAV4 while the reliability is the same or slightly better and it has more power than the conventional model.
Based on my findings, I’ve learned the RAV4 is a great car and I’m definitely going to purchasing one in the new year❗️
The recent RAV4 is a great step up from the junk they used to produce not too long ago and earlier. The RAV4 Hybrid is no exception. And the RAV4 Prime is a nice innovative add-on.
The CRV Hybrid is underpowered (delivering, sadly, just about 180HP, typically), and not very efficient below 40mph (which is a strange proposition for a hybrid). Once can only hope Honda is rethinking this.
Doesn't the RAV hybrid have an issue with the gas tank that you can not fill it all the way. I think I have seen it on the RAV forum and seems like Toyota is still trying to figure it out. If this was the big 3 or the Koreans, everyone would be screaming bloody murder. But since it is Toyota, we are ok with it.

There is a fix. It requires a new gas tank, sending unit, and filler neck to be replaced. I'm scheduled to have it done on my 2019 RAV-4 Hybrid this week.
