I have a Toyota truck with 279,000 miles. No major work done on it. I would buy another Toyota. Had a '95 that was still going strong when a tornado destroyed it
I have a chevy truck with 287,000 miles on it and no major work, I would buy American again.
These stories can be from either side of the automotive table. I have had a Toyota that was nothing but problems and was in the shop more than my driveway, also had a Chevy like that, and a Honda, and a Dodge. I have also had Fords, Dodges, and a Nissan go well over 200,000 without a major problem.
I wonder what the numbers will be like when the dust settles from this debacle.

That's a good point. It's all about timing. You need to pick the right time to buy.

BEAUTIFULLY STATED, Bydand.
I usually only buy American but weakened a few years ago and chose a new Mercedes . . . A FREAKIN EXPENSIVE NIGHTMARE.
Wait till the 2011 list comes out, Toyota is toast. As an American I am glad.
