Fascinating picture. A well-wooded hillside, overlooking an alluvial plain. Rocky soil, so there are no cart tracks in the road. Even the chimneys and buckets are made of wood, with no sign of manufactured or painted objects. Buildings, presumably houses, are entirely windowless, so probably cold climate. Some of the men seem to be wearing white head-dress, suggesting Muslims or at least Asia, but their clothing is dark. People in the picture are not tourists.

Unless it is some faux-historic mockup somewhere (there are livestock enclosures, but no animal droppings), First guess: China.

Wait a minute---how about Romania, in the Danube Delta. Or that park in Bucharest with the recreated villages?
