One emergency landing is unfortunate, but three might be regarded as careless.
The Australian airline Qantas has had a bad start to the week after an electrical fault sent smoke into the cockpit of a Boeing 747, forcing pilots to turn back to Sydney.
and delta made one last week, and airtran the week before ..... Emergency Landing happen every day ... Mostly its a light that goes on, or a warning that goes off. But better to be on the ground to check it out...
There is probably an emergency landing every few days in the United States. Every major airline in the world will have many emergency landings a year. I am sure American or Southwest have 20+ emergency landings a year. They happen all the time.
Lets look at the good job the Qantas pilots did! Also lets not forget Qantas is one of the very few large airlines to never have a fatal crash. So lets go easy on never flying them. They are VERY safe.

That is an often quoted myth that Qantas has never had fatalities. It has, just not on any jet planes yet.
Qantas is a small airline compared to the big American and Euro airlines and I have to say the number of incidents in the past 2 years has been very worrying.
I have a friend that has worked off and on for Qantas and I hear that they have contracted out a lot of their maintenance to outside contractors in 2nd and 3rd world countries. Basically it is a matter of time unfortunately when you have clueless people that don't work for qantas wrenching on these planes.

OK first PLEASE give me a break there ONE and only fatal crash was in On 16 July 1951, de Havilland Australia DHA-3 Drover. That is a small plane. Qantas is a very safe airline and has never had a "real airliner" crash.
Qantas has a fleet of 142 airplanes, not large but not small. And for the type of flying they do they have done pretty well so far.

Sorta true.
They have contracted out to Malaysia I think...
The 747 that had a problem was maintained in Melbourne & the A380 is a Rolls Royce problem.
But yeah the dramas have been too frequent lately, coinciding with their 90th birthday celebrations
