I am heading to Rio for 2 weeks in November with a group of 4 or 5 and I am looking for condo/apartment rentals in either Copacabana or Ipanema for the best rate possible. Does anyone know if it would be cheaper to just rent something down there or do a hotel for that same time frame? Here's the catch though, We may jet down to Sao Paulo for a few nights in between, not sure how things work down there but I assume if we left Rio for 3 days and came back for the last two, we would be paying double times, once for the rented room in Rio (even if we're not there) plus another hotel for 3 nights in Sao Paulo. We are planning on booking our flights in and out of the country will be through Rio therefore we would have to return there before heading back home.
