Travel question- US green card holders flying out of Canadian cities

Thanks for all the replies! As it turns out the prices jumped in the last couple days for the Vancouver-China options, so now it will be cheaper to just take the flight out of Seattle. Oh well, at least we know now that it'll be fine to fly in/out of Vancouver next time.

I have the same situation as your wife. I am a Chinese citizen and a US green card holder. I just bought a ticket from Chicago (Westjet airline) to Vancouver, then transfer to Shanghai (china eastern airline). Did your wife have any problem transferring flight at Vancouver airport? thank you in advance for your information.

My wife did not have any trouble with her flight out from Vancouver or back to Vancouver from china. Since us green card holders are free to enter Canada with their green card she only had to show that (as well as her Chinese passport) when boarding her flight from china to Vancouver, so it was very easy. So you can rest assured that all will be well!

Did you fly China Eastern from Shanghai to Vancouver too? Thank you so much.
