Have you ever been to Cinque Stelle on the west coast of Italy?

What was your experience? Were they overpriced tourist traps or bastions of scenic splendor?

Do you know any other places like it in Europe (Croatia, Montenegro, Greece), that are similar, cheaper, and better?

Do you mean Cinque Terre? Cinque Stelle is Beppe Grillo's political party.

I have not been to Cinque Terre but those I know who have been, found it:
- pretty
- crowded
- not the highlight of their trip

I'm afraid I don't have anything else relevant to say.

I loved Cinque Terre - especially the pedestrian walkway between towns.

Maybe Amalfi coast - though I've never been. But it's not smaller or cheaper.
