Just wondering, if I have a one hour layover at the Frankfurt, Germany airport (FRA), is one hour enough time to get from one Lufthansa plane to another in the same terminal (Ter 1)? All terminals are not the same.

Thanks.

Frankfurt is a huge airport. The only people who would know is Lufthansa. You should call their toll free number and ask them.

Are you coming in from another (non-Schengen) country? If so, definitely not enough time.

If you are connecting from a Schengen country, you will have time. There are several sections to Terminal 1, do NOT leave the sterile concourse or you will need to re-clear security which will cause you to miss your flight. Use the Sky Line train so you stay within the sterile concourse. Even if you need to go from B to A or Z, it shouldn't take more than about 20-25 minutes.

^^^ This

I nearly missed my connecting flight to Munich when I was arriving from the US at Frankfurt, ironically because the immigration/customs booths were short staffed. I would allow 2-3 hours max for a layover at Frankfurt based on my past experiences alone.

I don't remember Frankfurt being that big of an airport, but I was in and out so fast, so I guess it must be if everyone is saying it is. But if it's the same terminal, that seems fine I think. Customs seem to be the easiest to clear within the EU the world over, in my experience as a Canadian.

I connected in Frankfurt a couple of times, and I too don't remember it being a huge and confusing airport. Not as much as Charles-De Gaulle or Madrid, for example.

Thanks.
If it is a scheduled connection you will be fine. Are both on LH? If you have different airlines, than no, one hour is not enough.

I was just in connecting in FRA twice last week. It was a breeze.
