I have learned from living in so many different places that every region has things to offer in regards to it distinct foods, music, etc. A gross example could be macadamia nuts from Hawaii. Granted with Costco, anybody can get them now. I have never been to the Bahamas and was wondering if there is anything the isn't easily acquired there that we could bring from the states? Since tips are frowned upon and included, we wanted to bring something that workers there may appreciate and not have access tonotherwise. I know when I would travel island to island in HI, there would be speciality foods that we would bring to the staff, etc. This is a legitimate question, so lurkers and smart asses need not respond! Thank you!
Resident workers, where? Your employees, someone else's employees? Back home, at the hotel, on the cruise ship? Could you dial it in a little bit?
If you intend to give gifts instead of tips, cash is going to be the most appreciated. If you are going on business and want to take a hostess gift to the people you will be working with, then that is a different situation.
If you want to take something local to where you live, where do you live? (and by the way, I don't care where you are going, chocolate covered macadamia nuts are going to be well received by almost anyone)
