I have been so fortunate to travel a lot and have had many great vacations. My favorite was probably our trip to Turkey - Istanbul, Cappadocia, Selcuk/Ephesus and surrounding cities. Loved the food, the people, the history...pretty much a perfect vacation!
Took a trip to London, Northern Wales, and Paris in 2010, loved it.
Visited Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand in 1994, loved it.
Many other trips also I’ve taken.
Honeymoon in Aruba
England, Scotland, Wales
Germany/Austria
Vail, Colorado
Washington and Vancouver
Family vacations on Hilton Head Island
Southern Caribbean cruise
New England/Canada cruise
Of course I lived Disneyworld as a kid, but not as much now that I am an adult. Luckily my son prefers Hilton Head and other travels to Disney
For me it was, without a doubt, a month-long road trip with my husband in September, 2015 through England, Scotland and Wales. I would go back and do that trip over again in a split second! Oh, and by the way, we were 72 and 67 when we did this trip, so it's never too late to get out and see someplace new, all on your own (i.e. without a tour group).
Like most on here, there’s been so many, that it’s hard to pick specifics, but when I was a kid, it was great visiting family in S.W. France, Agen, Toulouse, Bordeaux.
In my early twenties, I rampaged through the Spanish Costas like Hugh Hefner on speed, ignoring the English girls mostly, but doing my best for Anglo-French guys with German and Scandinavian beauties.
Sad to say, I struck out more than hitting homers out of the park, but God loves a charming harmless trier.
I’ve been all over The Americas, from Newfoundland through the lower 48, all the way to Buenos Aires, Argentina, but the two places that stood out were, Montreal, Quebec in winter, now I know how the Germans felt at Stalingrad, and Savannah GA, I never want to leave that place when I’m there.
I 💗 New York, likewise Boston, D.C., Atlanta, Tampa and N’Orleans, but Savannah is something else.
I've had so many great holidays so it's difficult to choose. So, if I must choose one, it would be the summer I spent in the South of France when I was in my 20's.
Long sunny days, great food, magical moments, and romance all thrown together.
It was my second time there....the beginning of many, but that one particular summer was the one I remember most fondly.
1) 9 days on the North Shore of Oahu with my family. Rented a convertible Jeep, saw everything, mixed it up really well. Stayed right on the beach in a rustic house that was perfect.
2) 10 day road trip from Chicago, through South Dakota, Wyoming, and back. So Americana. Wall Drug, Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Devil's Tower, Cody WY for a rodeo, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons.
3) Our honeymoon in Ixtapa, Mexico. Wonderful people, food, beautiful.
