Have you been on a few aircrafts lately? They barely recline--maybe less than 3/4 of an inch! I went International a few months ago--I am sure that did not recline more than an inch.

Too cheap to make decent seats? But you want low fares also, correct? Heavier seats take more weight, hence more fuel equal higher ticket prices.

That is an old photo from years ago. They no longer recline that much.

That photo is also of an aircraft that does long hauls across the Atlantic and such.

Nope, they still recline that much.

The point still stands, economy seats are not first class beds.

Agreed. It's so small you can't recline without being in someone else's lap. But it all comes down to the almighty $$$, of course. And I learned not to take a cheap flight because I need to recline at least a little.

Those aircrafts are for long hauls. Seven or more hour flights. Certainly most people will sleep half the time.
In order to provide some comfort they should recline.

You won't find that much recline in the smaller aircrafts--ones that hold 150-200 Passengers.

ALSO--that photo is from 2016, if I am reading the date correctly. Old photo.

They definitely recline more than that.

For example, United's 737 has 3" of recline, according to this site: http://seatexpert.com/seatmap/125/Un...oeing_737-700/

I hate when people in front of me recline and i have my tray table down. Rude. I don't ever recline because I'm too self conscious thinking the person behind me will complain.

When reclining you're invading the other person's space behind. And if they have a tray out for any reason it jams that tray into their stomach.
Recline in front of me and I will bang on my tray or knee your seat back the whole trip. I didn't pay for you to use my space. Be courteous and not self centered when invading other passengers area and you'll have the respect of your neighbor.
