Hi im currently pregant with our second child. My oldest is 2. Im due to give birth in September. I would like to go on a trip with my husband and our two year ood son. My doctor gave me clearance to go but can only go not later that June. I know tickets and hotel accomodation is expensive around the month of June which is the only month we can go before I give birth due to our work schedule.

We are trying to watch our spending since were saving to buy another house and also to remodel our current house. Do you guys think its wise to go? I know that we can on different month after I gibe birth but Im afrsid we can handle bringing a baby and a toddler with us. Were thinking of going to Hawaii btw. Thanks.

IMO.........Hawaii no! To far and to darn risky in so many ways it's not funny..

Take a trip but choose a close low pressure get away. Hawaii can get done later.

Have a good safe trip!

I went to London from California with my husband and 2 year old when I was 5 months pregnant. We had a wonderful trip and it was a great getaway before we had 2 little ones to deal with.

I would recommend you take a flight with not so many hours of travel. Cramps in the leg? Discomfort of confined space? It is alot for the body to handle. Save the big trip for the whole family unit.

My sister went to India (from California) during the middle of her first pregnancy at age 39. So I think the OP going to Hawaii with the doctor's approval should be fine.

No. This is the reason for not spending money on a trip right now.

OT PS Assuming you're talking about remodeling your current house to gain a larger price when you sell it, do some reading about that FIRST. And talk to a local realtor. It's quite infrequent for that to have a successful outcome.

No Dear, Hawaii is not good as per your condition. If you still want to go for a trip then my opinion go to nearby location which is easy to your reach from home.

Last I knew, Hawaii had hospitals, ambulances, delivery rooms, doctors, and nurses just like anywhere else in the United States. From the west coast, Hawaii is 5-ish hours of flight time. What's the big deal?

Yes, I too question being hundreds of miles away at a time like that for you unless you are comfortable with a medical issue handled by folks unfamiliar with you & far from home. Surely there must be some lovely place/resort not too far away from home?

If your doctor clears it, then I think travelling to Hawaii while pregnant is fine. But it sounds like financially, it would be a stretch. I'd find something local and less expensive that you can enjoy without wrecking the budget.

If you post your general location, people could give you some specific suggestions to consider.
