Who here has applied for a new passport and how long did it take to get it?
They say 3-6 weeks and we have a trip scheduled for 9 weeks out.

I've found that States Est seems to be right, Maybe a little overstated, but close.

Not sure about a new one, but my husband renewed in April and it was back to him in 2.5 weeks. We were shocked.

Last time my brother and I applied for renewal passports at the same time at the same place (April 2012). I got mine back in less than 3 weeks, while his took almost 6 weeks. It's a crapshoot so always plan as if it'll take at least 8 weeks.

I had a passport that expired over 10 years ago. I applied for a new one 2 weeks ago last Saturday and get it exactly 2 weeks later.

I just received mine. Exactly 3 weeks.

I requested the extra thick 52-pages passport without surcharge.
