The most amazing natural wonder Ive ever seen is hundreds of arena-sized icebergs calving off the glacier on the coast of Greenland, perfect view under bright sunny skies. Earlier in the flight I saw the fjords of Norway, which were disappointing -- you could 't tell from the air that they were not flat.

I can rarely sleep on a plane, so when I see nothing but my eyelids it's pretty amazing.
I don't even bother with window seats anymore.

Lightening strikes ( at night), in the distance, so clear & not all the way up into the sky, as they appear from ground level.

On the seatback -

Out the window -

I've also circled the caldera of an active volcano in the Aleutian Islands, and watched a pack of wolves take down a caribou over the Alaska Peninsula (watching from a friend's light plane.)

First trip across the Atlantic I had a kind of hallucination as we flew over the Bay of Biscay...best way to describe it ...I saw the words ‘Bay of Biscay’ on the water. Really strange what the mind can do...
