I've used VRBO extensively in the US with no issues. Has anyone used them in Europe and was it a good experience?

Europe may have a better consolidator than Expedia. (or local contacts)

I used to use Homeaway (bought VRBO in 2006) for international bookings, but... all the these agencies have been bought out (Expedia) AFAIK.

Wow I had no idea Expedia bought them. I prefer VRBO as I can filter in my needs like how many bedrooms and baths depending on who is traveling with me and it usually works out cheaper then hotels, having a kitchen and laundry is a huge bonus as well.
