Hi all,

I am hoping to visit a good friend down in Little Rock, AR right after Christmas, but I cannot find round-trip flight cheaper than $800!! I cannot pay that, and I was hoping that someone would have some suggestions on where to look. I tried Expedia and Flight Centre, but they are way too expensive (like I said, over $800!) Am I totally blind? Am I not looking properly? Any suggestions?

I'm hoping to leave December 27th, 2008 and return January 4th, 2009, from Lester B. Pearson Int'l Airport in Toronto.

Thank you to anyone who can help!

Instead of flying out Toronto Pearson (YYZ), fly out of Buffalo or Detroit. You'll be amazed at the difference in prices.

A quick look at Expedia.ca shows a 1-stop round trip out of Buffalo for $491, a 1-stop out of Detroit for $461, and a direct flight out of Detroit for $541.

ah I will check that out!

I actually wondered that. I found the cheapest flight from Detroit was nearly $500. A bit better thats for sure, but, do you think I could find better?

And, just out of curiosity, why is it more expensive to fly out of certain airports compared to others?

Flights from Canadian airports are more expensive due to higher government fees.

CBC Newworld had a piece tonight that claimed 35% of the passengers using Buffalo are Canadians looking for cheaper flights.

A roundtrip flight for $461 during the holiday season seems pretty cheap.

yeah thats true. It IS holiday season, so I guess I'll have to take that into consideration.

And I just looked at Buffalo to Little Rock. Found a flight $352 round trip! Except each way has two stops haha. Long days, but can't beat the deal. Thank you for you help! I truly appreciate it!
