My DH and I are planning a 2nd honeymoon for our 10th anniversary. We will be going in August and staying 5 nights. We would like an all inclusive resort but have little experience with planning a trip to one. We were looking into the Sandals resorts but don't know if they are worth it. We also don't know which area that is the best. Does anyone have some advice? Thanks in advance.

My husband and I went to a Sandals resort in St. Lucia several years ago. I've heard the one in Jamaica is very similar to the one that we stayed at in St. Lucia.

All we wanted to do was eat, lie on the beach, golf and dance. There was all that to do and a lot more. So we had a great time. The food (multiple restaurants), accomodations (gorgeous balconied suites with romantic turn down service) and staff were great. You'll definitely get a lot for your money if you drink alcohol. Since we're not big drinkers, we didn't really take advantage of this. But if you are, you can drink to your heart's content for the same bill.

Thanks guys. Great info.

Marie, it sounds exactly what we are looking for. I just have to narrow it down to which one of the resorts to choose.... there are 7 to choose from!

Default Sandals Whitehouse

We stayed at Sandals Whitehouse a couple years ago and it was very nice. We'd go back.

Don't go to Hedoninsm unless you are interested in a falling apart resort or want to smoke pot all day and night. You can also get all the food you want at the pools as long as greasy french fries and cheap liquor are what you want. Getting wasted all day every single day should also be a top priority. A shower that required gymnast abilities is also the norm

I'll second the vote on Sandals in Montego Bay. This past January I stayed at the Ritz Carlton resort and absolutely loved it. We were just down the road from Sandals. One thing is for sure, you definitely want to stay on the resort. If you go off the resort make sure it's through a guided tour put together by the resort. Much safer!

I absolutely loved the people, the food, the warm weather, the beach....oh I just want to go back! I posted some photos of my trip in a different forum. Here is the link if you're interested. //www.city-data.com/forum/photo...p-jamaica.html

This is a nice, cute resort. However it is a bit more family oriented...
