I was just wondering if anybody has dealt with the Golf Savings Bank in Tri-Cities for a mortgage. What was your experience? Did everything go well? Did they do what they said they would do etc?

I'm surprised no one has replied to this. Not what you asked, but GESA credit union does mortgage loans at least for members, generally they are one of the best deals.

Washington Mutual had my loan before GESA, they were good to work with.

Both institutions keep their mortgages rather than bundle and sell them, so if you have an issue or for whatever reason want to speak to "management" regarding your loan, you can.

Sorry for the somewhat off-topic reply, hopefully it's better than nothing.

We used Golf Savings when we bought our home 9 years ago and when we refinanced. They did a good job. I've worked with their lenders for 2 years and they are very professional.

Yes, we went through Golf (the branch in Silverdale) for our first mortgage and we were VERY impressed. Homebuying is very intimidating for the uninitiated and our broker took great pains to explain everything clearly, make sure we understood, etc. The whole operation was very professional, the follow-through and timeliness was great, etc.

We also went back a couple years ago and talked to the same broker about some mortgage options for my husband's elderly parents and were treated with the same class and competence.
