March 58.4 (normal)
April 69.8 (+4 above avg)
May 76.6 (slightly above avg)
June 83 (slightly above avg)
July 93.0 (slightly above avg)
August 92.1 (+2 above avg)
September 83.1 (+3 above avg)
October 68.0 (+2 above avg)
November 51.8 (slightly above avg)
December 41.9 (slightly above avg)

So as you can see, 11 out of 12 months in 2020 had above average high averages. Only March was close to normal.
I think March 2020 would've been warmer if it wasn't for the snow and cold spell we had in the middle of that month.

Yes I recorded 48, 36, 44 on 3/13-3/15, but didn’t note any significant snowfall. Not sure where you live Mopac, but sometimes snow falls outside of the cities.

It seems to me we are having a rather mild January. After that Christmas Day snow, I was wondering, as we are in a La Nina year, were we going to have a repeat of 2016's "Snomageddon"? Of course we are just past halfway of January, so there is plenty of time for some snow and cold.

We could see some snow Thursday and over the weekend according to the forecast, I agree this has been a pretty mild January and I haven't had to bundle up a whole lot this winter.

So far the high temperatures this month are running about 4 degrees above normal. The highest so far was 58 on January 12th, and the lowest was 31 on January 2nd. Here is the 10+ days forecast.

Definitely somewhat of a cold snap here in late January, but snowfall looks to be minor.

I woke up to light snow today, Thursday the 21st, and 36F temperatures. The snow stuck around till almost noon on the grass in the pasture. Didn't even stick to the highway. The grass is in unusually good shape out in the pasture for this time of year.

A week or two of cold and snow is not off the table till the end of February, IMHO. Woodshed is well stocked up for that possibility.

Being able to work from home and order many staples delivered have made what difficult weather we get here a lot easier to work around.

Some really light snowfall in North Richland this evening...pretty wimpy all and all. I think we may escape this winter from anything major. (Famous last words!)...

We will see. So far January has been mild. We had a year like this that had a very snowy and cold February, I forget which year that was. In the last 5 years IIRC.

The wood in the woodshed I don't burn this year will be just as good, better in that it will be dryer, next year.
