Bulger parents speak of pain over Venables release | Fox News

In 1993, Jon Venables and another child murdered two year old James Bulger when they were only ten years old. Venables was released from prison and given a new identity in 2001 only to be arrested in 2010 for child pornography. He is now set to be released again.

This guy committed a sadistic murder when he was only a child and plead guilty to child porn stating the the sexual abuse of a child was a thrill for him. Shouldn't that be enough to keep him locked up and away from children for the rest of his life? I just don't understand how anyone could think that releasing him makes sense at all.

I was going to say James "Whitey" Bulger isn't dead! I see now you mean that kid over in England? Was it England? I remember when that happened. I so agree with you. The perps should have been sent away for life...no parole.

I remember it well too, these 2 should never have been allowed to see the light of day for the rest of their lives.
They were motivated from some scene they saw in one of the Child's Play movies.
In some cases, the horrific nature of the crime and the demand for public safety, overrides any negotiation for rehabilitation.

I never understood this one. It was so horrible, that poor little boy. It always hurt my heart to think of that little fellow and what he suffered.

Did not one of the boys straighten out or attempt to straighten out his life ?

I will try and find out more.

The Thompson boy was released in 2001 and must be staying out of trouble. But Venables got out in 2001 and was arrested in July 2010 pleading guilty to downloading and distributing 102 images of children being sexually abused. And now they are letting Venables out again!!!!!!!!! Heavenly days is the justice system crazy in the UK????

That was a horrible thing those two boys did torturing and killing a two year old little boy.

That's really screwed up. First he murdered a toddler and then found later downloading and distributing child porn.

Can't the court see that his head's not screwed on straight ??

To the court, if he kill or rape a child (again) I hope y'all can live with it. I don't think the people will.
