Buzzfeed Unsolved did a decent piece on this where they went out to the site.

While I'm not overly a fan of much of Buzzfeed's content.. The stuff that Ryan and Shane did there was quite good.

and.. The above is not.. A TOTALLY serious or totally comedic look at it.. It's a bit of both.

The part that i've always wondered. How did Tina's remains wind up where they did? Did she get killed in the woods at Keddie, not discovered, and due to predation and perhaps wash wind up in Feather Falls, or was she taken from the area?
