Yes she was! And she did a good job on many people. I have never run across anyone nearly this good, but have engaged with people that have gotten their way with me enough in this lifetime. No fun at all.
I plan to talk to my kids about people like this, when they get a little older. There are lots of people out there looking for someone to take advantage of. Someone with a credit card, they don't necessarily have to have lots of money. Just credit. There are also all the internet scams, phone scams, door to door scams, MLM businesses, etc....
The only thing that seems odd about this one, to be honest.. Well, two things..
First, it wasn't a marriage/love situation. Normally that comes into play with this type of situation. Wealthy widower meets world traveling beau who runs off with all their money..
That was a good story- I always enjoy reading about con artists for some reason.... I think it amazes me that people have the wherewithal to pull off stunts like that.
