(CNN) -- The new district attorney of Boulder County, Colorado, said he plans to take a fresh look at the investigation into the 1996 slaying of JonBenet Ramsey.
The DA's office assumed responsibility for the investigation in 2002. But District Attorney Stan Garnett told CNN that he wants to decide during his first 30 days in office whether the case should be returned to Boulder police.
sad to see people holding on to"the Ramsey's did it". open your eyes people. the police have cleared them, evidence says your long held belief is incorrect… look at the evidence and use your deductive skills to help solve this case...
Saw on previews last night that there is going to be a program --can't remember if it is Dateline or something similar re: this case and the one snipet they did show was that "there was DNA on her" but it was NOT anyone in the family -- did anyone else notice this ad for the upcoming documentary/investigative report?
Proiscecutors rarely do the real inspection on cold cases they tuen it over to DA investiagtors who work with local investiagtors. The problem from what i have seen is Border had little experiences because of the nature of cases types they norall handle. Its common in mnay places and that is why the Texas rangers are oftwen called in to help such departments.
There was an Aphrodite Jones on the ID channel..Investigate Detective or something a couple nights ago. I would guess they will repeat it a few times. Made in 2011. Pretty good.
This case is a classic example of people, the general public, running their mouths and basically convicting the parents. Although, in the vast majority of these cases, the parents or another family member is guilty party, the public's INSANE fascination with this investigation, tainted it.
Most everyone had the parents guilty. The police covering things up and botching the investigation (which they did, in the initial response, etc). However, once the facts came out, it was shown not to be the parents (something I said all along).
Now, since all those years were wasted on trying to prove the parents did it, true investigative leads are gone.
I am not impressed. He is just saying that to get press time. Why doesn't he actually do something, then have a press conference with the results...
