Hey guys,

I was wondering what people thought about 1200 e River Rd. There is a condo complex there that always seems to have a few listings on Realtor.com. How is the area. I thought that I read that anything above River rd is good. Is that true??

Definitely could do lots worse, Chowhound. Are you buying or renting?

Convenient great location plus safe.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe there used to be an apartment complex at this location, so it must be a condo conversion project. It's fine for renting; however, I wouldn't buy a converted condo.

Yeah, I agree don't buy an apartment condo conversion. I live in Long Beach and a few years ago they had a ton get converted. They are usually not built as well as homes or condos for that matter.

I believe you are absolutely correct on both counts, Sierra.

Default 1200 river road condos, tucson az 85712

I am considering purchasing a condo at 1200 river road, tucson, az 85712. any info anyone can post on this condo complex would be greatly appreciated.

1. is it safe
2. any burglaries, car thefts, etc.
3. how has resale value historically held up

As Bummer and I reached consensus these condos used to be rental apartments until quite recently, obviously there is no such data.

I agree with Sierra on #3, PULAOKHAO.

As for your first two questions . . . I would imagine very safe but, depending on your vehicle, a locking garage should be a high priority all over Southern Arizona but that's probably because I'm considered a CARNUT of sorts.

MY TWO CENTS WORTH!
