If you had the opportunity to buy a second home for rental today with the potential to live there part-time 10 years from now in semi-retirement with grown kids, would you choose Tucson or Albuquerque? Please look into your crystal ball and tell me the future.

I would choose Tucson because its really close to Phoenix.Albuquerque is about the same size but your about 450-500 miles from a big urban center.Plus Phoenix and Tucson's metro areas are supposed to combine so the benefits would be much better.Yeah I think you'd be better off with Tucson,but neither would be bad.

We bought a second home in Tucson in 2005.
Not sure if we will retire there or not, but, it is nice to get away from crowed CA!

Depends on your lifestyle. Albuquerque has 4 seasons, lot's of sking, close to many scenic areas and has a better potential for growth than Tucson.
