Anyone have any recommendations for a shooting range (indoor or outdoor) in northern Tucson? I've seen a couple such as Pima Pistol Club, but I've been told at a couple of local shops that many aren't on google yet or that there are better options that aren't posted. Just moved from California and I had to drive hours to get a range so honestly even if it's a drive but a good range I'm all ears!

I'm in Casa Adobes.

Guess it might depend on what defines a "good" range. I am not aware of any that are not posted, so can't help you with that. I am in Oro Valley and go out to Pima Pistol Club in Catalina. They have a 100 and 200 yard rifle range and numerous pistol ranges. They hold a lot of shooting competitions. Nothing fancy but serves my needs. Best thing a like about it cost is reasonable, 10.00 for as long as you want to shoot. Less if you are military or LE, or you can buy an annual membership. Here is their link. Home

For an indoor pistol range Marksman II is the closest, down on Prince, it ok, not a lot of lanes, but do a lot of training classes etc. Marksman Pistol - Welcome

If you really don't mind driving then the Tucson Rifle Club at Three Points probably has the best option, just about everything you need up to 1000 yd. High Power Rifle Range
"This range is designed for National Match Course matches. It is equipped with 15 firing points with firing lines at 200, 300, 600 and 1000 yards (covered) from the target area."

What kind of shooting do you like to do?

Good info to have- Thank you. We are moving to Tucson in a couple months and I hadn't thought to ask about ranges.

What about public lands? I like to pick up brass when I shoot and some ranges aren't too keen on losing their brass revenue.

Lots of public lands, my car sits kind of low so I go to ranges. As for brass, policy it will vary by range. Pima pistol doesn't care, I don't reload, so I will have guys asking me if they can have my 556 casings. I mostly shoot 7.62 steel ammo, so it just goes in the trash can, nobody reloads that. Marksman Pistol will not let you shoot steel case ammo at all though.

What part of town you moving to? What do you like to shoot?

Casas Adobes, well, Outer Casas Adobes according to google.

I shoot 9mm almost exclusively, as I'm afraid to use up all of my .22 until it becomes easier to find. Although either an AK or a "tactical" SKS are on the to-buy list.

I've been looking at Pima Pistol Club for a couple weeks. I do alot of pistol shooting (target and some defense stuff but nothing that most ranges wouldn't allow), where I'm from in California they only allowed 30 yards or further for pistol so this is alot better sounding. I can finally get into AR stuff now that I'm living here but I dont shoot rifles a ton. Mainly just pump action shotguns and pistols.

I may have to look into that membership.

I'd love to try BLM land (not alot of that where I moved from), but it sounds like it's not too local.

Casa Adobes too man. It sounds like Pima Pistol is the closest one in our area.

I'm amazed the shortage of 22 ammo has lasted as long as it has. Luckily I have a good supply and I don't even shoot a 22!
