I wanted to post this here in City-Data because these are some things you do not see every day, even down here in Green Valley about 25 miles south of Tucson on I-19.

Oh, this is just great ... beautiful flycatcher, cute as can be baby javelina and precious wrens.

I spotted a cardinal's nest in my boxwood shrub (Texas) on May 4 and yesterday, the eggs hatched. They are so adorable and I am so excited.

That is awesome Canine*Castle, I am glad you got to see the eggs and the hatching! I can understand why you are so excited. Here is a link to a new video I just posted. It shows a hawk with a ground squirrel in his talons. I tell you this in case you do not want to see this. It is just nature, but it can be tough to see sometimes!

Wow! That is sad. What a beautiful bird, though! Thanks for sharing.

It is a little sad to see the ground squirrel in this situation, but hawks have to eat too. Things like this happen every day, it is just that we usually don't see it happen. I did not even realize that hawk had prey when I first shot the video, only later when I downloaded it and reviewed it on my computer was I aware. I just thought I had a cool hawk video!
