Last night, my husband saw lightning strike a ridge several miles SE of Casino del Sol, between Tucson and Green Valley.

It started a fire that has burned 1100 acres so far and is still burning.
Reports say it somewhat inaccessible, so they're having trouble putting it out.

I could see the red glow of the fire from my kitchen last night; I can see some smoke now.

Wow. The storm that came through Saturday night knocked out our power for about an hour. I did not see as much lightning last night.

Looks like the fire is out; no glow last night, no smoke today.

They are saying it's 10% contained, but still showing it as 1100 acres.
I'm glad we already had rain.
