For the past several days, we have had daytime high temps of up to 108 degrees here in Green Valley, AZ, and this is how it will be for the duration of the summer. During these times, most animals will find some shade somewhere, and just conserve energy through the heat of the day, and venture out only late in the day through the early morning. These javelina visited my house for about 4 minutes just after 4am on 6/10/2022 to mark my property and get a drink. As you can see, a new mama had two babies in tow, and the last to drink and leave had an injury to it's left front leg. Life can be tough out there in the desert!!!
