Hello!
I will be relocating for a position with Raytheon and was hoping to get some suggestions to look into for housing. I am a young professional (mid-20's) with no kids or husband so I will be moving by myself. I am looking for a luxury apartment or a 2+ bedroom house to rent. I have looked into the Summerlin Villas as well as Finisterra but would like some more options to look into before settling on the only ones I've heard of! Are there any townhome options? I am looking to spend $800-$1000/month, would prefer that the building be new construction (yr. 2000 - present) and would like to be under a half hour's drive from Raytheon.

Also if you had any suggestions of sight-seeing, day trip activities for me to entertain myself when I head down there I would love to hear them!

On a side note it makes me laugh to myself seeing that it snowed in Tucson! Here, we're supposed to get snow all week, 2-5 inches a night. We already have about a foot!

Thanks!

You can look for houses on craigslist. As far as apartments, search this forum for it. It's FAQ topic.

My sister-in-law works for Raytheon, but they live in Sahuarita (I think I spelled it right). *shrug* Good luck!

Sorry, Sully . . . not much help on apartments in that part of town as I prefer the Northwest area of Tucson.

However, with the temperature in the mid 70's today and not a cloud in sight . . . SNOW ALL GONE!

! ! ! !

We just moved from Detroit to Tucson in October, and are loving it ! (even the snow). Hubby works for Raytheon too, and we settled in Vail, close to his work and affordable. We did look in Sahuarita but the drive was pretty ugly up to work.

Best of luck with your move! There is a ton to do here sightseeing wise. Botanical Gardens, Desert Museum, Tombstone, Bisbee, Shopping, Hiking, Skiing (Mt Lemmon has a ski resort).
