If you work late hours in this burg and need coffee, you're out of luck. All Starbucks are dead as a doornail as of 11 pm (a decent town like LA has several 24-hour Starbucks). The Coffee Xchange listed on Grant Rd. is actially a rap club. The Dunkin Donuts on Swan has the worst tasting coffee I've had at any DD in the country. Better to take a Thermos with you or have a Keurig machine where you work.

But I guess that's not surprising in a town that goes to sleep 3 hours after sunset even on Saturday nights.

Could it be that coffee, for most of us, is a stimulant and fights off sleep?

and Thank God . . . Tucson is nothing like that "decent town" LA.

Gee, I thought that insanity was my fault for living in the suburbs. No 24-hour coffee near the universities or the hospitals?!? Absolutely unAmerican.

The new Dunkin' on Campbell, north of Grant, has a different owner. And $0.99 coffee refills .

HaHa. To be honest, I haven't driven that stretch at night since the new DD opened. I just assumed they were 24 hours.

Yeah, who would have thought that an area that has more than 18 times the population of the Tucson area, has several 24-hour Starbucks?

There's NOTHING open 24 hrs. in Tucson except Wal-Mart and Walgreens. The only restaurants open are Denny's (nasty & dirty), Waffle House (Burp) & Ihop (Same ol menu).

don't know if Karl is still looking in here, but there's always Circle K/7-11 if he can just drink regular coffee for a pick-me-up

I assumed incorrectly that the Dunkin Donuts on Campbell Ave was a 24-hour joint. It actually closes at 10 p.m. .
