I live in Tucson and have unknown pests that are making numerous holes in my front (dirt) yard. The holes began around the base of my palo verde tree but now are all along the cement foundation of my house and around my sidewalk. The holes are about two inches to three in diameter and are spaced three to six inches apart. A neighbor of mine said that they are desert wasps!? Any other ideas?

You say palo verde tree? May be palo verde beetles. Could also be underground bees. We have had them bad this year.

If the holes are that big (2-3") then I would suspect rodents. If the holes were small than wasps would be a possibility.
