I am looking to relocate to Broken Arrow. I have read many goods things about it. Can anyone give me some generalizations regarding high schools (do they offer R.O.T.C.), jobs, cost of living, that sort of information. I would be looking for work upon arrival. Relocating on a leap of faith. Any information would be most welcome. Thanks very much.

Broken Arrow is Tulsa’s largest suburb with over 100,000 people and is completely integrated with Tulsa, there is no separation at all. Being so large Broken Arrow varies greatly in housing cost depending on where you are. BA, as the city is often called, has some pretty rough areas and plenty of houses in the million dollar range. Broken Arrow is not just a bedroom community has many large employers in the city itself. The unemployment rate is low in the Tulsa metro area, but the ease of finding a job will depend on the kind of work you want to do and your particular skills.

There are two school districts in Broken Arrow and each has one high school. Union Public Schools serves the western portion of the city but most of the district and the high school are actually in the city of Tulsa. Union is a huge high school, the second largest in the state and has top notch facilities and offers about every program imaginable. Graduating classes at Union top 1,000 students a year. Broken Arrow high school is the other school and it is actually even bigger than Union. BAHS is the largest school in Oklahoma and one of the largest high schools in the nation with over 5,000 students 9-12.

Hope that helps.
